About Me
Hello and welcome…
I’m Tracy Pinder and I’m a professional and experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor. I work with clients from all walks of life and am experienced in a wide range of issues.
As a caring, genuine and dependable counsellor I treat all of my clients with respect. I
support people in crisis or in major life changes on a short and long-term basis. My
strengths as a counsellor lie in my ability to:
• connect with people
• problem-solve
• support people in addressing their problems in new ways
In addition, I find that I can relate to my client’s needs easily and we quickly build up a rapport - by my very nature I’m a people person.
On a personal level, I have also experience of disability and emotional difficulties.
I’ve also had to face adversity and this has made me robust and resilient. These challenges have also given me a great deal of life experience, problem-solving abilities, advocacy skills and practical expertise.
I have also experienced counselling as a client.
Therapists need to have a long experience in personal therapy to see what it's like to be on the other side of the couch and see what they find helpful or not helpful. (Irvin D Yalom)
It was because of my interest in people, my own self-development and my own relationships that I was drawn to counselling.
